Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about handing in scrap iron and our services.

Which materials do you accept?

We accept almost all types of metal waste. This includes iron, copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, stainless steel (inox), electric motors, and cables. You can also contact us for large machines and industrial waste streams. However, we do not accept chemical waste, asbestos, car tires, or screens.

Is the collection service really free?

Yes, for scrap metal quantities over 500kg, we collect them for free with our own crane trucks or place a container. This applies to both individuals and businesses within our service area. For smaller batches, we ask you to bring them to our yard in Rhenen yourself.

How are the prices determined?

Prices for scrap iron and metals fluctuate daily. They are directly linked to the London Metal Exchange (LME), the global commodity market. The final price is determined by the type of metal, purity, and weight at the time of weighing.

Can I get paid in cash?

Certainly! After weighing your materials on our certified scale, you can be paid in cash immediately. If you prefer a bank transfer, we arrange this on the spot via instant transfer.

Do I need to sort my metal in advance?

It's not mandatory, but sorted material often yields more. For example, if you mix aluminum and iron, we can only give the price for iron. Our employees can help you at the yard to distinguish between types for maximum return.

Do you also accept scrap cars?

No, we are not a car dismantling company. To hand in complete scrap cars, please contact recognized dismantling companies. We do accept loose parts such as engine blocks (without fluids), gearboxes, and of course all types of metal waste from cars.

Why is metal recycling so important?

Recycling saves huge amounts of energy and reduces the need for mining. By reusing metal, we reduce the CO2 footprint and prevent valuable raw materials from ending up in landfills. It is one of the most efficient forms of sustainability.

What are the opening hours?

Our yard at Remmerden 15 in Rhenen is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 (note: lunch break between 12:00 and 13:00) and Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00. We are closed on Sundays.
